Perspective

I've been suffering from a serious case of overthinking. Everything that can be thought about, has been thought about. I feel on edge, restless, distracted. I just can't seem to shut off this silly little mind of mine. 

River Walk

As Spring starts to arrive in St. Anton, the days grow warmer, the snow starts to melt and the recovering grass is revealed underneath. But of course, melting snow means less skiing. So, what do you do in a ski resort with no skiing? You go exploring!

Graduation

After three years in Cornwall at University of Exeter, last week marked the end of my time at university with my graduation! It was a rollercoaster of emotions kind of day, from stress and nerves to overwhelming relief and inspiration, all of which ended in a slightly teary Beth (forget about falling over on stage, how about crying on stage?!), but it was a day to remember and a perfect way to commemorate the end of my degree with friends and family.

12 Strange Things That Will Probably Happen At University

Last month I wrote a post called "10 Things You'll Learn at University". One extra thing to add onto that list is that university is an odd place. For most people, it's the first time you've moved away from home and had to fend for yourself. As a result, it's inevitable that you will encounter some strange things.

Paris, Day Two

Day two of our little weekend away in Paris (you can see day one here)! After being my typical non-morning self, we got up a bit later than originally planned and headed downstairs for a large and varied buffet for breakfast, before setting off out for our day of Paris adventures! First stop: the top of the Eiffel Tower!

Paris, Day One

A couple of months ago I began a series of blog posts called Travel Bucket List, and number one on that list: Paris. I've wanted to visit Paris for as long as I can remember. Everything about it is just beautiful: the architecture; the culture; the lights. So when I found out Mr R had spent months secretly planning to whisk me off to Paris for my 21st birthday it was like a dream come true!

2014 Highlights

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas and have put those Christmas food babies to rest! I had a lovely Christmas and got lots of lovely pressies and, as per usual, ate far too much food! We've finally just about seen the last of the turkey and after a week of turkey sandwiches, turkey curry, turkey anything you could imagine, I couldn't be happier to see the back of it! Is it just me or does anyone else dread the turkey days after Christmas?

A "Sunday Smiles" post has been long overdue, and I have to admit I was considering stopping these posts altogether, not because I had nothing to smile about, but because I kept forgetting to take photos throughout the week. However, after reminding myself of why I started these posts in the first place, I feel it's important for me to keep them as they help me focus on finding joy in the small things in life. So as I've just finished a reading week at uni (the equivalent to a half term), what better time than to have a round up of everything that made me smile this week?

Maybe it's the crazy apocalyptic weather, the looming deadlines (for me at least), or the prospect of another lonely Valentines day (personally I'm beyond caring, single Valentines is all I know!), but I've found myself slipping into a bit of a slump this week. And by the sounds of it, I'm not the only one! So I think it's time for a little pick-me-up.
