Graduation

After three years in Cornwall at University of Exeter, last week marked the end of my time at university with my graduation! It was a rollercoaster of emotions kind of day, from stress and nerves to overwhelming relief and inspiration, all of which ended in a slightly teary Beth (forget about falling over on stage, how about crying on stage?!), but it was a day to remember and a perfect way to commemorate the end of my degree with friends and family.

Graduation Ball

Following the end of my degree, my university held the annual extravagant graduation ball. Castles, sea views, fireworks, it was a party to remember!

12 Strange Things That Will Probably Happen At University

Last month I wrote a post called "10 Things You'll Learn at University". One extra thing to add onto that list is that university is an odd place. For most people, it's the first time you've moved away from home and had to fend for yourself. As a result, it's inevitable that you will encounter some strange things.

10 Things You'll Learn at University

So now I've finished my degree I feel like I should share my university wisdom with you all like some wise old university guru. Going to university is definitely a life changing decision, and odds are you'll come out the end of it a slightly different, hopefully better and more mature (there's still time...) person than that little fresher tentatively moving into a big strange place all those years ago. So whether you're planning on starting uni this September and are curious to see what's ahead, are already at uni and need some reassurance, or are finishing uni and would like to know you're not alone, here are my top 10 things that you'll learn at university (alongside all that education stuff of course):

Sunday Smiles #11 // Hello November

A "Sunday Smiles" post has been long overdue, and I have to admit I was considering stopping these posts altogether, not because I had nothing to smile about, but because I kept forgetting to take photos throughout the week. However, after reminding myself of why I started these posts in the first place, I feel it's important for me to keep them as they help me focus on finding joy in the small things in life. So as I've just finished a reading week at uni (the equivalent to a half term), what better time than to have a round up of everything that made me smile this week?

Home Sweet Home

One of my favourite things about moving back to university is being able to put my stamp on a new bedroom. I admit that I'm not the tidiest person in the world, so my room inevitably always ends up a bit of a mess, and I believe my style of decorating reflects this! I love always having something nice to look at, so feel that every empty space on the wall is just asking to be filled! Not only does it make my room look and feel more homely, but each decoration also reveals a little part of me.
