Autumn Baking Pinspiration

Brrrr, it's getting chilly, isn't it!? I don't think I'm quite prepared for this cold weather yet, but I'm trying to ease myself into Autumn by remembering all the things I love about it. At number one? Autumn flavours. I just love all the spices around this time of year, be it in food, drink or candle form. Cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger... mmmm just dreamy! Forget pumpkin spiced latte (although to be fair I haven't actually tried one yet), I'm all about that chai tea latte (if you haven't had it before, go and get one now. Right now. I promise you won't regret it). All this daydreaming about delicious flavours has got me thinking about Autumn baking. To Pinterest!

It's all in the name: Autumn Cupcakes. Vanilla cupcake with a gooey caramel-pear butter center, topped with a swirl of brown sugar and cinnamon frosting. A perfect little autumnal treat.

Cinnamon, cloves, allspice and nutmeg. You can just imagine the gorgeous smells that would fill the house whilst baking this Autumn Spice Cake.

Although there are few things better than a nice cold cider on a hot sunny day, there's something about cider that reminds me of autumn. Most probably something to do with all the apples. Apple cider cookies with caramel centres would be the perfect autumnal addition to your cup of tea.

Remember earlier how I mentioned my love for chai tea latte? Masala chai apple cake sounds right up my street.

Or how about baked chai doughnuts?
I've always been intrigued by cakes made with vegetables, particularly sweet potato. This cinnamon and spice sweet potato bread will probably be my first vegetable bake attempt!

Speaking of vegetables, these caramel pecan carrot cupcakes with cheesecake buttercream frosting sound delicious. It's definitely one of your five-a-day, right?

I haven't tried cinnamon rolls before, but if they're anything like cinnamon swirls I'm all over that, especially if they're in cookie form.

Who else is hungry?
