Halloween Part 1

I know I know, Halloween was yonks ago, but I thought I'd share with you my Halloween outfits anyway! Perhaps they will serve as some early inspiration for next Halloween!

I wasn't originally planning on going out on Halloween as I had a uni party the next day to celebrate it, but on the spur of the moment me and my flatmate decided to head into town. As I was planning on going full out for the uni party, and didn't really have time to plan an extravagant outfit for Halloween night, I decided to keep my outfit a bit more understated. After much research on Pinterest (as per), I decided to take inspiration from this make-up:

I toned it down a lot by only drawing a cobweb on my right eye using liquid eyeliner, then, as I unfortunately didn't have any Swarovski crystals to hand, had to make do with dotting blobs of silver glitter liquid eyeliner over the top. I also did a bolder smokey eye than usual, being very heavy with the eyeliner, while blending in some pink eyeshadow in the style of the image I was copying (apologies for the rubbish quality of the selfie I took, it's difficult to see the details but I promise it's there!). I completed the look by using a bold red lipstick, then applied black eyeliner pencil over the top in the corners of my lips, blending it into the red to create a Gothic ombre effect.

Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of my outfit, but I decided to go for all black, wearing a black lace skater dress teamed with black tights and my black chunky heeled boots. I left my hair naturally messy, pinning it half up. I then drew some little spiders on my arms and chest in black liquid eye liner to top off the Halloweeny look!

What do you think of this understated Halloween look?

Stay tuned to see Part 2 of my Halloween outfits!

Love, Beth xxx
