A mountain of crunchy, chewy, chocolatey goodness! As my budget is getting tighter and tighter now I'm reaching the end of my student loan (boooo), I had to adjust a few ingredients according to what was cheapest in the shop. I used malted milk biscuits instead of digestives, and as I only managed to squeeze one tablespoon of golden syrup out before I ran out, I added in some honey. The beauty about tiffin is you can really put any type of biscuit you want into it and odds are it will still taste delicious! I was also very proud of myself when I managed to sneakily find a Maltesers box on discount for £1 instead of buying a sharing bag for double the price. It's the little things in life... Just a warning though, make sure you don't overdo it when melting the chocolate as it can clump up and solidify. Not a huge problem though, just a little less easy to spread on top of your biscuit base.
I'm getting tiffin cravings just looking at them... Safe to say they didn't last long in my flat!
Do you love tiffin? What are your favourite tiffin recipes?
